The Philadelphia Flyers returned home to begin a stretch of fives games at the Wells Fargo Center. Travis Konecny and Claude Giroux connected on the opening goal early in regulation. Scott Laughton added his first of two a bit later. Arizona would then score four, consecutive goals – including back-to-back shorthanded tallies. But the Orange and Black battled back. Laughton pounced on a loose puck in front of the yet and put home a backhander through traffic. Then Dale Weise tied the game on a break with two minutes left in regulation. It would head to an overtime period. In the final stanza, Shayne Gostisbehere sent the fans home happy with a blast off a feed from Jake Voracek. The Flyers opened their homestand with a win and now have points in five-straight games.
