Dolphins, Eagles players protest during national anthem

Select members of the Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles protested during the playing of the national anthem before their preseason games on Thursday.Two Dolphins players took a knee during the anthem before the team’s game against Tampa Bay: Kenny Stills and Albert Wilson. Another Dolphin, Robert Quinn, raised his fist.Before the Eagles-Steelers game, Malcolm Jenkins and De’Vante Bausby raised a fist during the playing of the anthem. Michael Bennett walked out of the tunnel during the playing of the anthem and headed to join his team.During pregame warmups, multiple Eagles players wore T-shirts raising awareness about voter registration and prison populations. Jenkins, Quinn and Stills were among the players who had similar anthem displays in the past. The league is currently working with the NFLPA on improving their anthem policy.
