Philadelphia Eagles news: Finally, we have a training camp schedule

The Philadelphia Eagles released their training camp schedule recently.

There’s so much to love about the Summer. Look no further than baseball and something else that continues to increase in popularity, NBA Summer League play. There’s also vacation planning, cookouts and, of course, the Fourth of July. There’s also something about the Summer we don’t like as much. Just ask any Philadelphia Eagles fan.

Summertime means something has to inevitably happen. Every NFL team closes the door on mandatory minicamp, then there’s about a month where nothing really seems to be going on.

Some of us call that ‘the dead spell’.

Here’s some good news.

We understand. Baseball may not be doing it for you. If you’re an Eagles fan, we’ve got good news though. One week after turning the page on July 4th, the Philadelphia Eagles released their 2018 training camp schedule. Players report to the NovaCare Complex on Wednesday, July 25th. Practice begins for the entire team on July 26th.

If you’re one of those lucky people who fall under the category of Season Ticket Member or corporate partner, you’ll be able to attend the majority of the on-field stuff. There are also two practices that will be open to the entire public. They’ll be held at Philly’s own ‘field of dreams’, Lincoln Financial Field.

The first begins at 7 p.m. on August 5th. That’s on a Sunday, and this also doubles as a Military Appreciation Night. The other kicks off at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 11th. That one’s a family day. Both practices are free of charge and, as stated, open to public viewing.

We’ve evaluated the roster just about every way that you can do it. We’ve discussed roster battles until we were blue in the face.

In less than two weeks, the champs go back to work. Let’s see what this ‘new norm’ is all about.
