The Dirty Inning, Episode 27: Carlton? More like Carlt-OUT

It’s Lefty’s turn to get dirty in an inning from 1972 that honestly wasn’t too bad, all things considered.

Steve Carlton didn’t make a lot of poor starts in the ‘70s. On June 29, 1972, he also didn’t make one. But in the context of one of the best pitchers of all time during one of the best seasons of all time, surrounded by one of the worst teams of all time, this inning was a bit of a disaster.
