Has anyone else started to think about the Eagles depth chart yet?

The more things change, the more they stay the same. That’s especially true around the Novacare Complex these days. After a devastating injury that put Darren Sproles on the shelf in 2017, there was a bit of speculation about whether or not he’d return to the Philadelphia Eagles or call it a career.

It was probably a tad ridiculous to believe a competitor on Sproles’ level would want to end a great career and it not be on his own terms. On April 28th of 2018, Philly re-signed him to a one-year deal. Just like that, he joined an Eagles backfield that includes Jay Ajayi (who probably wouldn’t even be on the team had it not been for Sproles’ injury) and Corey Clement.

Sproles joins an Eagles backfield that’s slightly different from the one he remembers. LeGarrette Blount is gone. That means Sproles, Ajayi and Clement are three guys that we’re sure will be on the team come September.
