PHILADELPHIA, PA – DECEMBER 31: Injured quarterback Carson Wentz

The price of a long season has taken its toll on select Philadelphia Eagles players.

The Philadelphia Eagles underdog story has been far from a cakewalk. In fact, the idea of the Eagles being an underdog in the NFL already seemed crazy when they were expected to go one and done despite being the No. 1 seed in the NFC. It didn’t necessarily matter in the end. But the doubt towards the eventual Super Bowl champions made sense after the events that took place during Week 14.

The Eagles versus the Los Angeles Rams game in 2017 was unforgettable for many reasons. Both reasons being negative and positive. The positive note; the Eagles happened to come out on top, beating the Rams 43-35, which officially locked up the NFC East division. The negative outlook; the Eagles would move onto Week 15 and beyond without their starting quarterback, Carson Wentz.

Wentz’s injury was definitely the worst thing that could happen at the time. But it surely wasn’t the only significant season-ending injury the Eagles had to deal with in 2017. The worst part is, the Eagles laundry list of 2017 injuries are carrying over into 2018. But unfortunately with a few new names on it. Which Eagles players are in danger of missing the start of the 2018 season?
