Vince Velasquez had offseason surgery to remove one of his ribs, ‘but whatever’

This season has been good for Vince Velasquez for a number of reasons. First and foremost for the Phillies’ right-handed starter is that he’s finally healthy. And, after missing the final two months of the 2017 season, he is pitching with the full feeling in his fingers, thanks to offseason surgery to address thoracic outlet syndrome.
