The Philadelphia Eagles’ newest signings have them geared up for a deep playoff run

As if an 8-1 start, a seven game winning streak and a three game lead in the division wasn’t enough; the Eagles signed two former Super Bowl champions this week to bolster their quest for a deep playoff run.
On Sunday, they signed former Baltimore Ravens, Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints linebacker Dannell Ellerbe.  Ellerbe won Super Bowl XLVII with the Ravens, a 34-31 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. On Tuesday, they signed former New York Giants offensive tackle Will Beatty.  He won Super Bowl XLVI, a 21-17 victory over the New England Patriots.
Philadelphia now has seven players on the roster that have won Super Bowls: Ellerbe, Beatty, safeties Corey Graham and Malcolm Jenkins, running back LeGarrette Blount, defensive end Chris Long and wide receiver Torrey Smith.
Smith, Graham and Ellerbe were all teammates when the Ravens won the “Harbaugh Bowl.”  Long and Blount won with the Patriots last year in the 34-28 Super Bowl LI comeback victory over the Atlanta Falcons.  Blount also won with the Patr
